Soweit aus der Fotokopie zu ersehen ist, besteht der Brief aus einem Blatt weißem Papier. Wasserzeichen: „Towgood's / Extra Super“. Hales hat die erste Seite vollständig, die zweite zu einem Drittel beschrieben. Schreibmaterial: schwarze Tinte.
