Dear Jung,
From the enclosed letter of Perret you will see that he has not yet received the Resolutions on the “Alliance” etc. If you have not yet sent them, do not do so, because I shall send you a corrected copy.
1 £ I have sent to Rodwadowski.
Give from the refugees’ money so much to Duru that he can leave the lodgings he now lives in which are too dear considering their miserable state. It would be well, if Duru received money enough to get his things out of the pawning shop. But my opinion is that he should take them not to his present lodgings but depose them in your house and leave his lodgings without paying the rest of his houserent! He has already paid more then was really due for such a hole.
Give also say 1 £ to the nouveau venu of whom you spoke yesterday.
These expenses—this employment of part of the money remitted to us from the United St. I shall defend so soon as the disposal of those moneys will come before the Council.

Soweit aus der Fotokopie zu ersehen ist, besteht der Brief aus einem Blatt weißem Papier. Marx hat die erste Seite vollständig beschrieben, die zweite Seite ist leer. Schreibmaterial: schwarze Tinte.
Violetter Stempel am linken Rand der ersten Seite: „ „Jul. Motteler / Gabelsberger Str. 1 / Ecke Dresdener Str. / Leipzig-R.“.
Von Julius Mottelers Hand: auf der ersten Seite oben links Vermerk mit Blaustift: „12 / Siehe rothgestrichene Notiz Seite 12 meines Briefs! Js“. Mit demselben Stift Unterstreichungen und Anstreichungen einiger Passagen.
Von unbekannter Hand: Vermerk oben auf der ersten Seite mit Bleistift: „71“; Unterstreichungen und Anstreichung der ersten Passage mit Rotstift (Motteler?); Vermerk mit schwarzer Tinte am linken oberen Rand: „20/10. 06 / JM.“
