Schließen The next meeting of the General Council takes place to-day, but according to by xxx(?) co(?)ns(?)equent upon a resolution taken passed last on Tuesday, temporarily no stranger(?) nobody will be admitted except the members of the Council there will during the present confusion(?) continuence of the courts martial in France no visitors be any longer admitted admissible . This general strict measure had been become necessary rendered necessary by the abuse of the semi-publicity // intrusion of French police agents.

I have the honor to inclose a subscription list for the French refugees. Their number, (they are now about 80–90) increasing daily (there are now about 80 [of] number) while our funds are almost(?) quite exhausted. Their condition is truly deplorable. The best thing would be, if possible, to form a separate committee for employment charged to find employment for the refugees. There are amongst them many // those men who most of them beeing whose great majority consists of skilled workmen and artists. Perhaps //
