| 20 September.
My dear Dr Marx,
Excuse me for letting my hand run away with my head or rather bear in mind that a man at 76 becomes—is se- not juve-nile. I was perfectly aware that it is Marx, not Marks but the pen not the mind or memory was the master.
I shall have a little more than 5.00. so please instruct one of your collaborateurs to form a list of of the most deserving, including something for the Colonel & his confederate Poles & also for your marquis to the extent of 5.10. I shall be up on Tuesday and shall be much gratified if you can give me a rendez-vous as before or, if you prefer, at any other place at the same or any other hour more convenient to yourself.
I yet hope that you may come here for a day or two. I am sure that a couple of days repose & relaxation would benefit the cause in which you are engaged.
FraternallyT. Allsop
