My dear Madam

I cannot tell you how vexed I am to hear of Wilfred's conduct in your house. I hope You and M. Lafargue will be so kind as to accept his apology for his impertinence. I have let it go just as he wrote it | rather than dictate any alteration in his style which, though not very gracious, is I hope not insincere

I remain

My dear Madam

Yours very truly

C. D. Collet.

Dr. Marx.
