My dear Marx,

I have just returned from my interview with Morris. He says he don’t doesn’t believe all that people on the Times premises say of us.

I have agreed to furnish two articles, of two columns each, giving a true account of the origin, aims & objects, & progress of the International, based on facts, not on my individual opinion.

The aims & objects is are not to be my own statement merely, but a statement resulting from a consultation of those with whom I act, that is to say, as authentic as possible under the circumstances. He wants the truth.

I have promised to furnish the articles in the course of next week. Would it not be advisable to consult the subcommittee?
