My dear Sir

I am much obliged to you for the  Karl Marx: The Belgian Massacres (siehe Marx an Engels, 8.5.1869 „Ich wurde zum Redacteur ...“ und Erl. sowie Karl Marx: Address to the National Labour Union of the United States (siehe Abdruck in MEGA2 I/21. S. 654.11–655.29 und zur Text- und Überlieferungsgeschichte ebenda S. 1418 und S. 1939.)
you were kind enough to send me.

I hope Lafargue is not among the arrested in Paris.

I am going to be married to a sister of Crompton whom you met at dinner with me. I might have told you | then, but the engagement was not then many hours old. She is heartily sympathetic with my political & social views & there is no fear that I shall have to become respectable.

Yours very truly

E S Beesly
