I shall be much obliged if you can state briefly what are the particulars of the system of double election in Prussia, including in that statement answers to the following questions

1 Is there any qualification required from the three grades | namely, the primary vote, the member of the electoral college, and the member of Parliament?—

2 How often do the elections take place?—

3 Has the middle body or electoral college any function besides voting for the members of Parliament?—

4 Are the members of Parliament or of the electoral college paid?—

5 On whom do the expenses of the elections fall?—

| 6 Is the Prussian plan similar to that in use in other parts of Germany?—

The enclosed fragment into which the statement I want has to be incorporated will shew you my object in thus troubling you —
