16th Septr 1868.

Sir,

Your note of the 26th inst. reached me just as I was leaving home for some time, so that I could only at the moment despatch the pamphlet and postpone my acknowledgment of your courteous note.

I feel curious as to your theory of Economic Cycles, and should be | glad to learn in what German city I may apply for the book.

If you care to see a notice of my pamphlet in marked contrast to that which appeared in the Daily News, you will find one in a leading article of the Economist of Febry 1st.

I see Mr Moritz Hess quoted from a “Karl Marx” in the Congress now sitting in Brussels. Is the reference to yourself?

Yours truly

John Mills Chas. Marx Esq.
