                    some of Your Publications, by which I could obtain some correct knowledge of the
                    aim and the principles of the <orgName ref="https://megadigital.bbaw.de/M0004811 https://d-nb.info/gnd/503624-0">International
                        Society</orgName>.</p>
                <p rend="MBTextMitEinzug" style="text-align: justify; ">I am a most sincere
                    supporter of such reforms <pb/> and would gladly do my best in support of Your
                    Cause, about which I first wish to obtain some correct information or
                    explanation.</p>
                <p rend="MBTextMitEinzug" style="text-align: justify; ">I speak also the German
                    language.</p>
                <p rend="MBTextMitEinzug" style="text-align: justify; ">Ich spreche die deutsche
                    Sprache ebenso gut wie English. Ich bin in Deutschland gut bekannt, von 1848 in
                    Wien, und befinde mich jetzt schon längere Zeit in Amerika. Bin hier in Astoria
                    als Uhrmacher ansäßig.</p>
