I am very sorry to hear that General Wroblewski is ill. I am a subscriber to University College Hospital & I will give a ticket of recommendation. This however will not ensure admission because they will not take every kind of disease.

What is the complaint from which he is suffering? Please send me also his christian name to fill up the ticket. Is he capable of going in a cab to the hospital, or how should he be moved? Unfortunately I am leaving town tomorrow. But I dare say I could enlist someone’s sympathies.

I wrote to the General to call on me this morning that I might help him. I will be answerable to the extent of ₤ 3 for his immediate necessities. Please write particulars by bearer.
